iTunes Radio first launched in 2013 in the United States and Australia. It has some similarities with Pandora. It is in the Music app in your iPhones. It let you create custom stations based on your specific songs or genres. I am a user of this internet radio, and enjoy using it. There are not many ads like in the regular radio stations, and you do not need to listen someone talking, just the music station you like. Even in the office, we listen to some of the radio station, but still not sure that we should be a subscriber of Apple Music. Our hearts still go with YouTube Red, which you can listen to music, watching tv-show, funny videos, news updates, educational videos and the future we are sure, Google’s YouTube Red will come up with great Tv-Shows and Movies for us. And it is the same price as Apple Music. As an Apple user, still not convinced about Apple Music.

Security Robots Come to Take Some Jobs Away

A new type security robot that for some of us looks like R2D2. The robot called ” Knightscope K5“, the main purpose of it is doing surveillance. K5 has a broadcasting system and equipped with monitoring cams to check everything around itself. Instead of human guards robot never sleeps and listen and record everything. Even if it heard something, it could warn the security personnel about what happened. With its 360 degrees high-definition and low light, infrared cameras, the robot sends live images to a security network. The Robot also has a panic button, if you think, you are in danger and K5 is around you or you can find it. You can simply click the panic button to let the authorities know something wrong with the area you are currently on.

Now, the robot has been used by several tech companies and one shopping mall in Silicon Valley. And the company who made K5 had much useful feedback for the usage of the robot. The startup currently rents each robot for 6,25$ per hour, it cost less than a security personnel, but the robot has no chance to defend itself. It is possible that someone try to push it or harm the device. So the Robot can’t defend itself, that is the reasonK5 is considered as a backup unit for the security personal.

Ride Sharing Services Lyft and Uber lowering their prices

Competition is always good in the markets. It lets the quality up and prices down. In the ride-sharing business, there are Uber and Lyft. They are in a cold war. Lyft try to get more share from the Market, and Uber is attempting to keep the share. And this last day both companies lowered their prices.

In 100 cities Uber lowered the price and right after that Lyft lowered the prices also. Here is the list of the cities that had a price cut; Detroit, Baltimore, Bakersfield, Cleveland, Colorado Springs, Cincinnati, Washington, D.C., Denver, Fresno, Spokane, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Orlando, Memphis, Modesto, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Orange County, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Norfolk, Pittsburgh, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose/Silicon Valley, Sacramento, Sonoma/Napa Counties, Toledo, Tampa, Tulsa, Indianapolis, and Raleigh-Durham.

Looks like no New York in this list, one of the busiest one. Valve Upgrades Its Internet Ports up to 100Gbps to Handle the %75 Traffic Growth

Valve’s game platform Steam has been growing up rapidly these last years. That is why the company decided to upgrade its network infrastructure with new 100Gbps Internet ports to handle the traffic.

According to the last reports; Steam’s traffic levels are grow 75 percent in years. Currently, traffics level is 450 to 500 petabytes per month and four exabytes a year. The platform now has 100 million users, and average 10 million concurrent players, over 2 billion minutes played on the platform every day. Also, the Steam’s concurrent player record is 12.3 million users. New ports’ work with the capacity of 42Tbps, including 100Gbps internet ports in 26 market which are located in America and Europe.

Valve host many games but Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are the busiest ones. CS average user a day is 565,000 while the champion Dota 2 has 871,000 concurrent players in a day. The Steam platform is getting bigger every day, the future updates may not be enough in the following years. We are also waiting that soon Valve will come up with the Half-Life game.

The Facebook is a part of our life, many of us hating it and many like it. If you use the platform in a right way it can be useful; you can talk, chat, send files and photos to your friend or family members. You can find your old friend with who you lost contact, can see the significant events in your friends life and never forget their birthdays. But if you don’t use it right, Facebook can cause many problems for you also.

Many of the divorce cases, the Facebook platform used by the one of the couples to prove that their life companion is not loyal anymore. And this last case; Maria G., who not allowed to communicate with her sister-in-law Maribel C. as ordered by the court. But, Maria didn’t listen to the court and keep publishing posts in which, she kept tagging her sister-in-law and calling her stupid in the posts. Also, Maria G. added these words, according to the law journal: “You and your family are sad…You guys have to come stronger than that!! I’m way over you guys, but I guess not in yo agenda.”

As you know if you tagged in a post or on a photo, Facebook sends you a notification. And now Maria G. being charged with second-degree criminal contempt, this can lead to a year in prison. Maria’s attorney says; protection order didn’t exclude communication via Facebook. But still this is kind of harassment for us. Well, this kind of cases teaches us the be more careful about what we do or what we say in social media. Our actions can be used against us later.

The Force Awakens; this year most wanted movie. Broke every record in movie history, crushed the box office. Expectations were too high for the film. Also, it is one the movies that I saw which has the lowest points of user reviews. The movie has 2158 reviews that just hate the movie in IMDB (3163 reviews in total). But Disney will make more and seems like many fun doesn’t even care about the bad reviews.

The video is not about criticizing the movie. Many of us wonder how they made the film, the technology behind it. The YouTube Disneyland Experience made a video of screenshots that shows ” before and after ” footage. If you are interested in the technology behind the movies, you will like this video. Also, the nominations for all Academy Awards categories were announced. Boeing Will Cover Flight Cabins With Huge Displays

US-based aircraft manufacturer Boeing announced in a blog post that they are working on a new concept. The new project is about putting the displays on the ceiling of aircraft in the passenger compartment. The primary objective of Boeing is that create the ‘’wow’’ effect with this new generation passenger cabins.

The primary purpose of making it for better flying experience and lighting, although this project could affect advertising and inflight entertainment systems seriously. Boeing’s commercial aircraft engineers in product development department are working on a project to provide lighting inside the cabin first and aims to make it better. These screens will provide a more spacious feeling with both lighting and space usage. Although the glass-bodied aircraft is still technologically impossible that passengers can imagine the outdoor through these screens.

You can view examples of usage given by Boeing in the pictures below. Of course, these screens look very stylish on the other hand it means more radiation thousands of feet high. Finally, It is undoubtedly this news attracted the attention of many display manufacturers.

Decline In PC Shipments Broke A Record In 2015

IDC and Gartner released “2015 PC shipment and distribution to manufacturers,” according to the information contained in the report were disappointing in 2015 for manufacturers. Both reports underline that saw the biggest drop in the history of computer shipment levels.

The total number of PC shipments in 2015 decreased 8 percent compared to 2014, according to the forecast report published by Gartner. The most affected companies by this decline (-16,5 percent) located Others category except (Lenovo, HP, Dell, Asus, Apple and Acer). The second affected is Acer Group that shipments decreased 15,3 and Asus ranked third, shipments decreased 6,5 percent. Apple is the only company capable of increasing the number of shipments, and the number of computer shipments increased 5,8 percent compared to the previous year. According to the Gartner report in 2015, 228.735 million shipments, quoted in the same report in 2014, this number stood at 313.681 million.

According to the IDC report, total PC shipments decreased the rate of -10,4 percent compared to the previous year. And the most affected companies are also in others categories by 19,7 percent decrease. The second most affected company is Acer Group that shipments decreased -18.1 percent.And the third place we see two companies Dell and HP by the decrease of 5,9 percent in IDC report. Apple was also the only company that increases in shipping rates according to a report from IDC, The rate of increment was 6.2 percent compared to the previous year. The total number of 276.216 million PCs were shipped in 2015, 308.365 million PCs shipment in 2014. Finally, we note that both the reports prepared by the estimated results.

The upcoming release of iOS 9.3 will change some of you daily routine. One of the new modes of the operating system helps you to fall asleep more easy. Most of using our phones before sleep and screen light can cause some sleeping problems. Apple put a new feature called ” Night Shift”. This mode automatically adjusts the color of your smart device’s screen, reduce light so you can easily sleep while looking at your tweets or checking you emails.

Many studies showed that blue light that given by lightbulb or by electronic devices is ruining your body’s biological clock. Your smart device activities the “night shift” mode with using your geolocation, automatically change the colors on your screen to the warmer colors. This change lets your eyes be relaxed, and it will be much more easy for you to fall asleep. iOS 9.3 version not yet released. But this night shift mode looks useful for the people watch the phone screen all the time.

Google Maps Will Predict Your Destination and Give You The Traffic Updates

The future version of Google Maps will come with a new feature that figures your destination while you drive and give you information about the road ahead. For now, this version of the Google map will only work on Android Phones. You activate this future from the app or a shortcut that is on the home screen. It will guess your destination based on your searches and previous location history.

The app will inform you about traffic updates, estimated travel time and some other information you might need during your drive. This driving mode came with the version 9.19. We don’t have an info about this driving mode will be or when support IOS or windows base smart devices. But it is going to be very useful for many people. Google Maps already used very often by the drivers because of its gives you traffic report and it is very reliable.
