The company has issued $1.5 billion in bonds that will use to finance clean energy projects across the world. This is the largest bond to be issued by U.S. corporation.
Apple Will Finance The Clean Energy Projects With $1,5 Billion Worth of Bonds
Why FBI needs Apple’s Help to Bypass a Simple 4 Number Security Code
When we watch the Hollywood movies, we see the agents doing some crazy hack stuff. They are hacking camera systems, cell phones or any ultra secured facilities systems. But looks like hacking an iPhone or an Android device is not one of them.
That is why; FBI is asking Apple to hack the phone of the shooter in San Bernadino. But Tim Cook said, ” The government is asking Apple to hack our users… not only the shooter” And, added they will not hack their users’ devices. Yes, I think many of agree that people who connected with the shooting should be found and arrest, but users and Apple don’t want to do it with hacking an iPhone. We all know, if the manufacturers leave a backdoor in any smart device in the future government might use this for bad purposes or other people can access to our phones and steals our valuable data.
But, how the government that has lots of agents, super computers, and the NSA, can not pass one simple four digit code – which is mostly birthday or 1234-. The problem is this code is the only way to the safe, even there not too many possibilities they can’t able to access the data. The reason is; if you enter the passcode wrong couple of times, iPhone makes you wait for a while, and after you enter the wrong code again, the device erases every data in the memory.

Don’t think that Apple can access your data in seconds, they can not, but the company holds a set of keys which won’t unlock the device but allow them to modify the vault’s locking mechanism and make the changes that allow the FBI open the luck.
The shooter had an iPhone 5c. iPhone’s passcode used to be passed by using a method called ” brute-force attack”. Which is keep trying every possible passcode, after several wrong attempt device lock itself and make you wait for a while after it is active you try again, and this goes on and on. But with the new models including 5c. After several wrong entry, devices erase all the data. So that is not what FBI wants, they want to use ” brute-force attack ” on the device and requiring Apple to change how this security system works.
So this is what Tim Cook against. The company doesn’t want to give access to their costumers’ smart devices. And including Google and many regular users supporting Tim Cook because of his decision on this issue. And many of users thinks, it supposed to be this way. Users who against this back door are not supporting criminals, drug lords or any terrorist. They just want some privacy in their life, and they have a right to want this.
Extracting Fuel From the Air We Breathe
Carbon dioxide is a colorless and odorless gas that vital for the life on Earth. Life depends on CO2, plants and trees use it to grow food and oxygen, and we all need them the most. Our Atmosphere needs it to keep us warm from the extreme temperature changes.
But, we humans ruined this circle in a short period with the releasing high amount of CO2 to the atmosphere, and still the vast majority of the vehicles we use run on fossil-based fuels. There are many Fossil-fueled power stations around the world which are still active. This couple year we see severe changes in energy gathering methods. New renewable energy gathering stations are built; many countries start to invest on big solar or wind power gathering projects every day. The number of hybrid car manufacturing is increasing, and the plug-in automotive industry is finding new investors for itself. And, these changes are very hopeful for cleaner Earth for the future. Still, we need more investments in plug-in cars and renewable energy fields, this will take years. At the same time, we are pumping an enormous amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere more than our Earth fragile ecosystem can handle. Earth is getting hotter, polar ice melts rapidly, the sea temperature is rising with the salinity.

So, we need a solution to get rid of the CO2 that our Earth does not need until the Sun powered technologies are enough for our energy need. There are some ways to get rid of this extra gas, the researchers from the University of Southern California discovered a way to convert CO2 into methanol ( CH3OH ). The system sucks the CO2 from the air through a solution called ” pentaethylenehexamine ” ( which has lots of carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen in it). So when the carbon dioxide sucked in with some heat, CO2 latches onto available hydrogens and the reaction left with methanol and water.
The research team in California aren’t the only ones that are working in this area. In the center of Canada’s Oil region, a company called Carbon Engineering (CE) is currently developing a system that sucks the CO2 from the air. For that, they are using a large wall of fans, after several chemical steps later, the system produce pure CO2, which can be used to generate ultra-low emission fuels. The Canadian company is planning to build a plant which can capture 1,000,000 tons of CO2 a year, which can be released by 213,000 cars based on EPA’s numbers.
Methanol can be used to produce biodiesel. Also, this technology can be very helpful for our Earth to keep the balance. For now, the system can’t compete with the low oil price today but soon we will run out of oil and gas, and we will rely on these kinds of technologies and the sun. And we are hoping to have a brighter future.

New Trend is Internet of Things For The Intelligence Agencies
The US National Intelligence Agency director James Clapper told that the internet of things devices can be used by the intelligence services. And These words made a big debate.
NSA’s largest social network monitoring, reorganizing Samsung’s smart TV users contract by adding substances and unauthorized listening to your voice by Chrome are actually the major developments shed light on these days.
Likewise unauthorized listening by Chrome, the smart devices in our lives that again questioned. But smart technology companies always defend themselves being user-oriented. The intelligence services need to work on everything in the information-gathering that could threaten national security and does not hesitate to say that it extends to every device connected to the internet.
‘In the future, intelligence services might use the internet of things for identification, surveillance, monitoring, location tracking, and targeting for recruitment’, says James Clapper, US director of national intelligence. To give a few examples, Fitbit and Dropcam in the case of services data has been requested as evidence in various cases. Your child may even spy in your home with a connected to the Internet doll.
In short, there is a linear correlation between increasing internet connected devices and probability of unauthorized listening. Because cyber hackers also use these methods like intelligence agencies.
An Electronic Sensor That Detects Bacteria
George Washington University developed an electronic sensor that can detect bacteria within seconds with a high success rate 71 percent in tests.
As biologist know to learn whether the inflammation occurs or not usually need at least 24 hours in laboratory tests. If a harmful bacteria growth can be too late when you are aware. And it can be easy to predict negative consequences of this situation. But a new method developed by George Washington University, can now identify the bacteria in seconds.
Today, bacteria control can be done by carried out samples of bacteria from the wound. Samples are placed in a bowl is taken to wait for the formation of the bacterial cell. And treatment does no start without taking the laboratory results. If you do not want to wait for this testing process, it is possible to start antibiotic treatment immediately. Hoverer this method may cause a different effects if there is not inflammation and you use it in vain.
Dr. Victoria Shanugam and her team developed this device can detect a specific molecule called ‘pyocyanin’ seen in strains of bacteria in open wounds within seconds. Therefore, it is reduced from hours-long process to seconds. The success rate in clinical trials was recorded as 71 percent. With the development of technology of device will reduce the error rate.
China is Building A Meltdown-Proof Nuclear Reactor
China, one of the biggest consumers of the energy. The country has already built 30 nuclear power stations, building 24 new ones and more are on the way. Now, China announced that in 2017; they will bring a new type of nuclear power plant which will immune to meltdown. The technology’s born place is Germany, but this is the first time that someone built on a commercial scale in the world. This new construction project is critical for our Earth. If China pulls this off, this will eliminate the biggest negative point of the nuclear power plants.

A New Algorithm Found to Print the Impossible Objects by Using 3D Printers
The method that discovered; create a mathematical process before the 3D printing, it automatically calculates the object’s structure on desired data input. The team in Department of Computer Graphics and Algorithms led by Przemyslaw Musialski. They printed the object in the photo. To create the necessary geometrical needs for the object, the algorithm software calculates every aspect of the object such as; exact structure, hollow spaces and wall thickness. For the Turtle in the photo, the rotation axis of the turtle had to be precisely balanced to use as a spinning top, but for the fish, software has to adjust the exact structure and size to be floating in the position like the original one.
“Our method has a whole range of advantages,” Musialski explains. “It is fast, as the calculation is completed within seconds, it is resilient to errors, and as we proved, it can be used for many different optimisation processes compared to other methods.”
If you watched the video above, you saw the Cola bottle that oddly printed, and if you put water in the bottle it tips over but if it filled with alcohol it stayed in place. This result in the video happens because of the lower density of alcohol compared to the water. To achieve this result, the algorithm not only calculated the out shape, it also shapes the hollow space in the bottle. With this new algorithm, 3D printer users would be able to print technical spare parts or ornamental parts for their project. The algorithm software will ensure the object that user want to print will also feature the necessary physical properties.

The algorithm is available for download from two open source website; Github and Matlab File Exchange. The reason for making the algorithm as open source, make the other programs work on the algorithm and make this system improve. The algorithm helped the team to find a new system which has been used for ultrafast imaging and detecting cancers cells in the blood (The Phase Stretch Transform algorithm ). The algorithm even can detect the images which can not able to scanned, for example, it can detect LED lamp’s internal structure, this would be helpful to see distant stars that not normally be visible in astronomical images.
