Contact

There is one address for reaching TrendinTech, and it is read by people, not a ticketing bot. Whatever you are writing about, start there and we will pass it on to the right person.

Email

[email protected]

This mailbox is monitored by the editorial team and covers everything listed below. Putting one of the subject-line tags in your email helps us sort it faster, but it is not required.

What to contact us about

Story tips and news

If you have information about a company, product, security issue or event you think we should cover, send it to the address above with “Tip” in the subject line. Tell us what you know, how you know it and whether we can contact you with follow-up questions. If you need to protect your identity, say so in the first line and we will discuss how to proceed before anything is published. We do not publish a tipster’s name or details without their agreement.

Tips are read by an editor and passed to the reporter on the relevant desk: AI & Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Startups, Hardware, Software, Gaming or Mobile. If you want a specific reporter, name them in the subject line.

Corrections

If you believe an article contains an error, email us with “Correction” in the subject line. Include the article URL, the statement you think is wrong and any supporting source. Every correction request is reviewed by an editor. If a change is made, it is noted on the article. If we decide the original was accurate, we will reply and explain why. The full process is described in our editorial policy.

Press releases and product announcements

Send announcements to the same address. We read them, but we do not publish press releases as articles, and we cannot promise coverage. Including a plain-language summary, a date the news can be published and a contact for questions makes it easier for a reporter to act on it. Embargoed material should say so clearly in the subject line.

Writing for TrendinTech

If you want to pitch an article, read the contributor guidelines first and then email with “Pitch” in the subject line. Pitches that follow the guidelines get a quicker answer.

Privacy and data requests

Requests about personal data, including access, rectification or erasure requests under the GDPR or the CCPA, should be sent with “Privacy” in the subject line. Our privacy policy explains what data we hold, which is very little, and how we respond.

Advertising and partnerships

Commercial enquiries about advertising or partnerships are also received at this address and passed to the business side of the operation, which is run by Orkatek separately from the newsroom. Commercial relationships never influence editorial coverage, and anything paid for is labelled. Please do not send advertising requests dressed up as editorial pitches; they will be treated as advertising enquiries regardless of how they are worded.

Everything else

General questions, feedback on the site, reports of broken links or technical problems, and anything that does not fit the categories above are welcome at the same address.

Postal address

TrendinTech is published and operated by Orkatek. Our office is:

Orkatek
67 West Street, Suite 34
Brooklyn, NY 11222
United States

Email is the fastest way to reach us. Post is checked less often, and international post from Ireland takes time, so if something is time-sensitive, please send it by email as well.

Social

TrendinTech is on LinkedIn. We use it to share published articles. Messages sent through LinkedIn may be seen later than email, so for anything that needs a reply, use the editorial mailbox.

What to expect

  • Corrections are prioritised. We aim to review every correction request and reply within two business days, and to fix confirmed errors as soon as they are verified.
  • Tips and pitches are read within a few business days. If a tip leads to a story, the reporter will usually contact you with questions first. If we do not pursue a tip or pitch, we may not be able to send a detailed reply, but we read everything.
  • Privacy requests are acknowledged promptly and completed within the timeframes required by the applicable law, which is 30 days under the GDPR and 45 days under the CCPA.
  • Press releases do not normally receive a reply unless a reporter wants to follow up.

Business days for us are Monday to Friday, United States Eastern time, which is five hours behind Irish time for most of the year. Messages received over a weekend or a US public holiday are picked up on the next working day.

A note on what we cannot help with

We are a publication, not a support desk for the products we cover. If you have a problem with a device, a service or an account, the company that makes it is the right place to go, and we are not able to escalate individual customer issues on your behalf. We are, however, interested if a problem appears to affect a lot of people; that is a tip, and we would like to hear about it.
