The University of Queensland Australia has done subsequent studies on time travel, its possibility aspects, and components. According to in-depth studies from the University, time travel is a possibility. The scientists used single particles of light photons to simulate quantum particles that travel through time. The study indicated that modern physics has strange aspects that were explained by Professor Timothy Ralph. Quantum particles are made up of fuzzy or uncertain components that make it possible for them to wiggle around and thus avoid inconsistent time travel situations. Therefore, nature behaves differently making the impossible possible.
A photon that traveled through time and interacted with its older self-indicated the changes that modern day science has achieved in the field of quantum physics. This was explained using the phenomenon of Closed Timelike Curve (CTC). Based on Albert Einstein’s theories of Special and General Relativity, the possibility of time travel was observed from new angles supported by developments in the field of science. The special relativity theory suggests that time has the ability to either slow down or quicken in relation to other aspects. The general relativity maintains that time travel is possible where space-time path is followed.
Time travel used to be thought of as just science fiction, but Einstein’s general theory of relativity allows for the possibility that we could warp space-time so much that you could go off in a rocket and return before you set out. Stephen Hawking
According to Martin Ringboer, a Ph.D. student at UQ’s School of Mathematics and Physics, applying Einstein’s theories can shade significant amount of light and help explain physicists’ views on the possibility to travel through time.
However, astrophysicist Stephen Hawkins documented for BBC and asserted that time-travel mission is impossible to achieve because it does not exist as a concept. Regardless of this contradictory statement, studies around the possibility of time-travel are continuously made.
