These terms govern your use of trendintech.com (the “Site”), which is published and operated by Orkatek (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site.

1. What the Site is

TrendinTech is a technology news and analysis publication. The Site provides articles, reviews, explainers and opinion for general information purposes. Nothing on the Site is professional, legal, financial, security or investment advice, and you should not rely on it as such. Technology changes quickly; an article that was accurate when published may be out of date by the time you read it. Where we have corrected or updated an article, we note that on the article, as described in our editorial policy.

2. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the articles, text, graphics, logos and other content on the Site are owned by Orkatek or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright and trademark law. The TrendinTech name and logo are our marks.

You may read, share links to and quote brief excerpts from our articles for personal, non-commercial, educational or news-reporting purposes, provided you credit TrendinTech and link to the original article. You may not reproduce entire articles, republish our content on another site, use it to train machine learning models, or use it for any commercial purpose without our written permission. Requests for permission can be sent to [email protected].

Some images and embedded material belong to third parties and are used with permission or under licence. Those rights remain with their owners.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Site you agree not to:

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, its servers or the systems connected to it;
  • interfere with the operation of the Site, including by overloading it or introducing malicious code;
  • scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Site’s content for republication, dataset building or model training without our written permission (ordinary search engine indexing is permitted);
  • remove or alter copyright notices, author bylines or source credits;
  • use the Site in any way that breaks applicable law.

4. Accuracy and disclaimers

We work hard to publish accurate reporting and we correct errors when they are brought to our attention. Even so, the Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability or availability of the Site or its content, or that the Site will be free of errors, viruses or interruptions.

Product reviews reflect our own experience with a product at the time of testing. Opinion pieces reflect the views of their authors. Prices, specifications and availability mentioned in articles can change without notice.

5. Affiliate links and sponsored content

Some articles contain affiliate links. If you buy something through one of these links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Sponsored content, where a third party has paid for a piece to appear, is labelled as such. Neither affects our editorial independence. See our editorial policy for how this works.

6. Third-party links and embeds

The Site links to and sometimes embeds content from other websites and services. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link does not mean we endorse what is on the other end of it. Your use of a third-party site is governed by that site’s own terms.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Orkatek, its staff and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Site or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Orkatek against claims, losses or costs arising from your breach of these terms.

9. Contributions and submissions

If you submit material to us, such as a tip, a pitch or a contributed article, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. Published contributions are subject to the terms agreed with the contributor, as described in our contributor guidelines. We are under no obligation to publish anything submitted to us.

10. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what information the Site collects and how it is used. By using the Site you acknowledge that policy.

11. Changes to the Site and to these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Kings County, New York, and you consent to that jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

13. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with “Copyright” in the subject line, identifying the material, its URL and the work it infringes. We will review the complaint and remove or amend infringing material where appropriate.
