Kobi Will Be Your New Best Friend If You Hate Doing Yard Work

Newly founded, New York-based, start-up, The Kobi Company revealed a new edition to the robot market in the form of Kobi, the Yardbot. This funky little robot is a blessing in disguise for anyone that hates doing menial yard work as Kobi can do a number of tasks in the yard including shoveling snow, collecting leaves, and cutting the grass.

Kobi comes with a number of different attachments that you simply pop on depending on what it is you need doing.  The user must wheel Kobi out to the yard initially, but in doing this, it will learn the yards perimeter as it goes past obstacles such as mailboxes and bushes.  Once set up is complete, Kobi can effectively cut the grass and do various other yard tasks that you don’t have time for without needing any supervision.

This Yardbot is very cool, so it also comes with a cool price tag of $3,999.  But, think of all the hours you will save yourself in not having to do this manual labor any longer!  The way in which Kobi operates is through the use of two beacons that are strategically placed within the yard, a camera, and an ultrasound sensor.  Speed is not Kobi’s main feature, but can still move along at around two mph, and as long as it’s not an incline of more than 40%, it will be fine.  Sales of Kobi are expected to start early 2017, so if you want your own little yard assistant that doesn’t talk back or need to be paid, you better get ready to snap one up when they are released as this could become a very popular tool indeed.
