Solar Energy Balloons Can Be The Answer for Bad Weather Days

We all know that solar panels need sunlight as possible for optimal power output. Unfortunately, there will be bad weather or cloudy days are ahead. Now Japanese-French Laboratory scientists from Japan are developing a balloon that has solar panels on it. It can go above the clouds, that way no bad weather can affect your energy need. Scientists say; above the clouds, you can get much more sunshine and more energy. And when the project finishes and balloons start gathering sun energy at full efficiency. This technology could be cost much lower than coal, and clean.

The primary goal of the project is; how to make a balloon that lightweight polymers on it for gathering the Sun’s energy. Balloons will be connected to the ground, and the connection cables would transmit the electric power down to earth. Balloons will be 6 km up ( 3.6 miles ) and below the airplanes routes. And long term goal is to make them work at the up 20 km ( 12.4 miles ), this high they can not be bothered by clouds or bad weather conditions

After project finish, it is highly possible, they will be used in the commercial area. We might see skies like in the movie ” Big Hero 6.” In the long term, this balloons can be a good option for small towns.
