Pirate Bay Won This Time

 

A Swedish court ruled that service providers in Sweden can not be forced to block “Pirate Bay” which is one of the biggest file-sharing websites also from Sweden.
pritabayPirate Bay blocked by many European service provider because of its anti-privacy content. The action brought by big companies like Sony Music, Universal Music, Warner Music and some European film industries, who teamed up and go after Pirate Bay, which they told the website cost millions of dollars to them. The companies wanted to force an internet provider that called Bredbandsbolaget to block the site, and they added if the service provider does not block the “Pirate Bay “. They should be responsible for the copyright infringements, Bredbandsbolaget refused to comply and said their role is to provide internet access and to ensure the free-flow information to their costumers. For the court, Bredbandsbolaget does not involve a crime for not blocking the site.
Looks like a small victory for Pirate Bay and the internet community that download millions of GB files from torrent websites. Many users glad that Pirate Bay will not become ” Mininova ” anytime soon.
A note : Mininova.org was one of the biggest torrent links provider, after losing many lawsuits, they gave up and just share the files doesn’t have any copyright violation. But every torrent web site that closed make a way to an another one…
