Popular social networking website Tastemade announced that it was funded $ 40 million by under the leadership of Goldman Sachs. It is the fourth round investment for the Los Angeles-based initiative. It is planning that international expansion will accelerate by this funding.

In 2012, Tastemade started as a food-oriented Youtube channel. The services expanded to Apple TV, mobile and social networking platforms successfully.Thus, it has become one of the world’s most popular initiative in its field.According to the data, the average of 100 million audiences is watching 1 billion videos in one month.Tastemade plans to strengthen the multi-platform strategy, and they want to deliver customized content to each of these platforms.
Tastemade focused on the US market so far. However, they will try to focus on localization starting the next year. For example, It is expressed that more than 100 billion times watched in Brazil. The venture seeks to become a global food and travel network by expanding to different markets particularly Brazil. Tastemade funded by Goldman Sachs, Redpoint Ventures, Comcast Ventures, Liberty Media and Scripps Networks. And the total investment is 80.3 million dollars, after the fourth round.
