As you remember, in December 2013 CEO Jeff Bezos revealed Amazon Prime Air, if there was a futuristic drone system that one day is supposed to deliver your packages in 30 minutes or less?It was staged with an ad narrated by Top Gear’s ex-cohost Jeremy Clarkson two years later.
So this idea has been criticized from different perspectives many times by regulators.With this Ad, Amazon would like to show that how useful Amazon Prime, which is currently being developed in the U.S., the U.K., and Israel.The latest prototype model of the Prime Air drone is larger, and it has two propellers, one is for vertical take off, and another one is for horizontal to travel to the destination.The Drone can fly under 400 feet and weigh less than 55 pounds.
Jeremy Clarkson says that ‘“In time, there will be a whole family of Amazon drones; different designs for different environments,” Clarkson explains. “This one can fly for 15 miles, and it knows what’s happening around it. It uses ‘sense and avoid’ technology to well, sense, and then avoid, obstacles on the ground and in the air.”
Drones can detect a landing area for dropping off packages up to five pounds.And customers can specify a ‘landing area’ to landing and take off for drones in their gardens.With this ad, Firstly Amazon and the other competitor expect that FAA approves delivery by drones.
