A demonstration of the effectiveness of a security robot was delivered successfully in Bridgeport just recently with thanks to Gregg Preuss and Sharp Intellos Automated Unmanned Ground Vehicle. This was the security robot’s first public appearance, and the team is very pleased with how the display went. While Preuss, a regional sales engineer for Sharp Robotics Business Development was sat inside a van looking at a screen, the robot was out patrolling the grounds of the A+ Technology & Security Solutions’ offices located on Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, capturing the images. When it close to a crowd of people that had come to watch the demonstration the robot just stated, “You have entered a secure area. The police will be called.”

As the security bot does its patrols, it captures images on its many cameras which can be sent across to a command center to alert them of any immediate problems that need addressing without the need for any human to be harmed in the process. It’s a fantastic security system and director of the New England operations of A+ Technology, Jorge Garcia, feels that it will be a game changer in the industry and estimates that the potential sales in Connecticut alone are between $20 million to $40 million. The bot is flexible and can be programmed to run continuously or at random times throughout the day, and it also can determine the fastest route to where it needs to get to.
