Google Will Use Pixar Characters for Teach Coding to The Girls

If you use Google these days, probably did. You might have spotted a link that says ” code a movie scene.” The link will take you code site that made by Google. Click ” start coding ” and you will see a scene from the last favorite Pixar movie Inside Out.

The interface allow you to control Riley, program use a simple graphical coding language. When you put the stuff in the correct order, you can make Riley do some things like; running, sliding or playing hockey. The program designed to teach the basics of the coding principles like sequencing, if / then statements, and looping. According to the studies 74% of girls express interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields in middle school, yet by the time they reach high school, only 0.3% of them plan to major in computer science. And Google want to change this and that is a really good idea to use ” Riley ” – a young girl – who is want to be successful on a man dominant sport. It can be good example for little girls who interested in computer science which is also dominant by man.

Google’s coding program is not the first one who try make the youngster learn programming. There is also a Minecraft-based and Star Wars themed coding websites.
