YouTube’s going after NetFlix and transforming itself into a media service like Apple do with Apple TV now you can pay 10$ per month for bonus features likes exclusive shows, movies, reality shows, drama series, adventure series, scripted comedies, and feature-length movies. YouTube made some of announcements lately to promote its new subscription service, YouTube Red. The service banishes ads, allows you to save videos offline, and you to continue to listen to a YouTube video in the background on your phone.
This ad-free part with lunch next week, but next year YouTube Red will get you access to exclusive content. This includes some exclusive TV series and even full length movies. On this front, YouTube, Hulu, and Amazon all proved that original content can get users attention.
YouTube will have some new content included a new scripted series from the Fine Brothers, and a movie called Unicorn Time. YouTube Red will also have the new YouTube Music app, which is launching today. The app will be milestone for YouTube, the paid product launched last year. It basically makes YouTube into a Spotify clone, and you can listen to YouTube in the background. YouTube Music will get you access to Google Play Music, the excellent streaming music service that you should start to use yesterday, with radio-like playlist features that’ll look familiar to anyone who has used a streaming service before, like we mentioned you get offline and background playback.
YouTube Red sounds like a good deal. Too many user were willing to pay for Google Play Music alone, but with the new added YouTube features, it seems like a great option.
