Now Oculus VR announced that they will release the version of the headset with a price tag $600. After this announcement internet went crazy about the price. People thought the price was so high. But Oculus headset will cost more than $600 for most of us. The company announced the technical requirements for running the headset properly. And it requires a powerful PC that can’t be cheap. Also, Oculus VR will not support Apple’s OS or Linux operating system. These users need a new PC if you want to use Oculus’ headset.

These are what you need to use Oculus VR headset.

– Nvidia GTX 970 / AMD 290 or greater
– Intel i5-4590 or greater
– 8GB+ RAM
– Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output
– 2x USB 3.0 ports
– Windows 7 SP1 or newer
–
Just that graphic cards start with $250, so you will need a PC which will cost more than $700. But Oculus’ headset will not be the only option. Sony’s and HTC’s headset will be on sale soon. Highly possible these two will need the same specifications that Oculus needs.
