5 B’s of Why NASA Should Study Earth

NASA’s Earth Sciences mission is surrounded by all the ‘buzz’ and ‘bustle’ for information. Well, maybe understanding the 5 ‘B’ reasons surrounding all the interest might get you on the bandwagon too. Read on to find these reasons, and get this, they all start with a B!

Broad. Yea got you! You thought that broad in the sense that planet Earth is ‘broad right? Well, true as that may be, this broad refers to the NASA Earth Science mission. This is a BROAD mission and its scope it has a wide scope. The mission is not just to understand the weather, climate changes, and natural events but also to understand valuable information collected. Get full information about this mission and you will be just as impressed.

Basis. This mission might just as well be the foundation of many aspects of our society. NASA’s Earth Science mission is the basis that helps determine the state of the ozone layer, the level of mending and the scale of the ozone layer. Simply put, this mission is bigger than the eye meets.

Because. According to The Space Act of 1958, which NASA is a product of, all aeronautical and space activities carried out by the USA shall be in line with contributing materially to several objectives. NASA was created to study, expand human knowledge, establish hypotheses, and preserve the earth. Therefore, this mission is just in line with fulfilling the uses of NASA.

Brainware. Introduced by Dr. Tony Busalachhi, the term ‘Brainware,’ describes institutional knowledge, intellectual property as well as expertise. NASA’s Earth Science mission takes the forefront in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) studies and it is regarded as Brainware.

Business. In each of NASA’s 20 facilities, there are a number of competent private contractors. These private contractors collaborate with NASA’s civil servants depending on missions. The same goes for the Earth Sciences mission. Therefore, sustaining this mission means NASA is able to stay in business with her private contractors.

So you see, there is a lot riding on NASA’s Earth Sciences mission. One way or the other, we are all connected with the mission and stand to gain/lose just as NASA. Since we all rely on Earth and have no plan ‘B’ supporting this mission means sustaining future generations’ survival.
