Listen up all you Call of Duty fans (and we know that’s quite a few of you). Sony has just announced its plans for the ultimate battle with their Call of Duty New Year celebration where all fans snap up a new game, start building up their weaponry again and prepare for the Call of Duty World League. Last year, Playstation focused their efforts on Black Ops III, whereas this year the attention will be on Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
The game crazy, invitational tournament is set to take place on December 3rd and 4th and will be located at the Playstation Experience in Anaheim, California. It’s then that eight teams will battle against each other in the first official LAN broadcast. The teams that are ready for the challenge are Splyce, Team Elevate, Rise Nation, Faze Clan, Luminosity Gaming, Orbit, Renegades, and Evil Geniuses. There will also be official news and announcements to be heard too.
It’s sure to be a big event and well worth going to if you can. But, for anyone that is unable to make it to Anaheim, it will be streamed on both MLG.tv and the Call of Duty Twitch Channel. Last year’s Black Ops III event had more than 1.2 billion minutes of coverage viewed based on 121 million views, and this year is expected to be bigger. Full specifics of the event are yet to be disclosed but will be revealed nearer the start date of the tournament.
