There are many advantages to using hydrogen fuel celled vehicles. One of the main reasons is that there is so much hydrogen around the world, and it is unlikely to run out anytime soon. Hydrogen fuel cells are also nontoxic, so are not adding more harmful substances into the atmosphere. But, even with these benefits and more, hydrogen still receives a lot of opposition among many electric car supporters. So, will it ever become a readily available alternative fuel across the U.S.?
Some People believe hydrogen fuel for cars will be available across the U.S.. Over 60% of the poll takers believe the Hydrogen will never be available for use in cars publicly across the U.S. The remainder of the participants’ votes was split in several ways. The next highest group (20%) said it would be at 2030 before hydrogen fuel will be readily available, while 12% thought it would be by 2025. The lowest votes went to 2020 as a date for hydrogen to become available, with just 6% believing it would happen by then.

So, results from the poll clearly demonstrate that people don’t have that much faith in hydrogen-fuelled vehicles making a big scene. This is understandable though when taking into consideration the pressure that hydrogen must be dispensed at (up to 10,000 per square inch) and the specialized sites could cost as much as $2 million each to construct. So, we will have to wait and see what will happen on the hydrogen front. If there is a way to bring down the costs, then maybe this will become the next big thing, but until then is may be at a standstill.
