Can the Phenomena of Ghosts Be Proved or Disproved by the Large Hadron Collider?

It’s a split audience when it comes to ghosts in that some people believe they’re real and some will swear on their lives they seen one. While others will say that ghosts aren’t real and that we should all stop being ridiculous. However, ghosts are not exactly something that would be easy to prove. Saying that, if they were real, would the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) not have detected them already?

This is the opinion of British Physicist Brian Cox, Advanced Fellow of particle physics at the University of Manchester. “If we want some sort of pattern that carries information about our living cells to persist then we must specify precisely what medium carries that pattern and how it interacts with the matter particles out of which our bodies are made. We must, in other words, invent an extension to the Standard Model of Particle Physics that has escaped detection at the Large Hadron Collider. That’s almost inconceivable at the energy scales typical of the particle interactions in our bodies.” So basically, what Cox is saying is that if ghosts did exist, then there is no reason why they shouldn’t be able to interact with the existing particles of the standard model.

But, whether or not you believe this theory is down to you. Just remember that there are several undiscovered theorized particles that the LHC hasn’t picked up yet, including supersymmetric particles and axions. Bob Jacobsen, the professor at the University of California who works on the LUX matter detector, said, “The investigation of very low mass low energy dark matter is an ongoing thing. We still don’t know whether axions exist. How do you know ghosts aren’t made out of axions?” But according to the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the Axion doesn’t interact with conventional matter. Instead, it says that if the axion does exist it could transform into a photon in the presence of electromagnetic fields.

While many experiments are in place searching for dark matter, none have been able to prove its existence yet. But, that doesn’t mean to say they’ve ruled it out either, and the same goes for ghosts. So, the conclusion is that although the LHC can reveal a lot of hidden truths about our planet, it can’t quite rule out the existence of ghosts just yet.
