Albert Einstein once said, “Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one”, and what he meant by that was probably is that the future is what you make it. The way we think has been proven to have been conditioned by many different factors including our cultural backgrounds, social circles, and just our own general outlook on life.
When we’re younger, we are always dictated to and told what is right and wrong. Eventually, most of us grow and learn these things. But, the way in which we react to a certain situation could vary depending on what part of the world we’re from even if we agree something is right or wrong.
The media is just one example how conditioning works on young women, enticing them to look and behave in a certain way. But, the problem with conditioning is that it’s very limited and a conditioned mind is more like a box of standard thoughts and is more detrimental than anything else. It stops people from thinking outside the box, hence why reality can sometimes be delusional.
According to Terence McKenna, “What we call reality is, in fact, nothing more than a culturally sanctioned and linguistically reinforced hallucination.” In which case the reality is that our planet is one of many that sits within the Milky Way. The reality is also that the Milky Way is one of many in the Universe and has been around for more than 13 billion years. It’s also that the size of our Universe is not yet known, and may never be. And, it’s also the reality that the Universe is infinite and keeps expanding. Therefore there could be other parallel universes out there.
“The chance is one in billions that what we are living is the base reality,” said Elon Musk. And, he’s quite right. What’s to say we’re not all living in a matrix-type society and just don’t even know it? We are also infinite just like the Universe, and even our own imaginations can be limitless; as can our whole existence. Some famous people who are great role models for a limitless living are Elon Musk, Omar Khayyam, and Leonardo Da Vinci. These guys are proof that humans can, in fact, have infinite potential.
