Galaxies 13 billion light years away from us have been shown on a 3D map. The Japanese-led team has discovered that the Theory of Relativity put forward by Einstein is still valid.
In the late 1990s, it was discovered that the universe is expanding at a growing rate, and scientists want to know why. It could be dark energy, or it could be Einstein’s view of gravity warping space and time disintegrating.

Results show that deep in the universe, general relativity is still valid, and this gives further support that the universes growth could be explained thanks to the proposal given by Einstein.
100 years after Einstein proposed the theory, stronger research has been carried out, and Okumura is proud to publish the results. It has taken 12 years to get this far and the person putting forward the survey Karl Glazebrook is pleased to see the results.
Thanks to the Subaru telescope having a Fiber Multi-object Spectrograph galaxies over 10 billion light years away can now be analyzed. It is expected that the distance studied will be further once the Prime Focus Spectrograph is entirely constructed.
