Tokyo Police is Now using new 3D Mugshot Technology

Tokyo police will begin taking 3D pictures of the suspect during the booking process. This process is planning to start in April. One of the important reason for this 3D scanning is, identifying the suspect in a security camera footage. This will eliminate the tactics we saw in many movies, wearing heads or shaving your hair or changing the color will not help suspects to avoid the police. The technology of 3D cameras will be installed in 102 police stations in that region. And database for 3D mugshot will be in the central department of the police force. 3D images will be taken from different angles, so when the police are investigating a security image, they can manipulate the pictures that taken by a security camera and give them high accuracy of catching the criminals. Looks like the scenes that we have seen in the movies soon perish. If the system proof itself in Tokyo, it os highly possible other police forces around the world will want to use this futuristic technology.
