Electric car manufacturer Tesla closed the year by announcing the last quarter of 2015 financial report.Tesla reported that it sold 17,400 electric cars in the fourth quarter of 2015.
When including the other three-quarters of 2015, Tesla sold 50,580 electric vehicles in 2015. 17,192 of the 17,400 was Model S and variations.In addition, unit sales in the fourth quarter are 48 percent higher than the 11 603 units sold in the third quarter and 75 percent higher than sales in the fourth quarter 2014.

Tesla Planned to sell cars between 17 and 19 thousand in 2015 each quarter but to take part in the final quarter, slightly above the target must be disappointing for the company. The new SUV Tesla Model X sold 208 units in the fourth quarter of 2015. And Tesla announced that remaining 507 Model X is ready to deliver to customers in the coming quarters.
