Gorilla Glass windshields are hybrid. All glass has three layers; the outer layer is an annealed glass, plastic in the middle, but inner layer chemically strengthened Gorilla Glass. This compilation makes the glass %32 percent lighter and durable as before. Also, GT’s windshield meets U.S. Safety Standards.
