Two Asia-based technology giant Samsung and Baidu officially announced that they will enter the driverless, autonomous cars industry.These two companies also will make improvements in this area by setting up separate individual departments themselves.
Samsung’s driverless car plans different from Baidu and Apple.Samsung will produce the both hardware and software of these autonomous vehicles such as (sensors, cameras, etc. ) in this department. Hyundai also announced that they had discussed to produce components of autonomous cars in the past week. Thus, we can say that there will be a competition between Samsung and Hyundai.Samsung did not announce such a plan that if the company entirely will produce a driverless car.On the other hand, Baidu announced that the business fully developed a driverless car.In fact, Baidu shared that tests have been done, and the vehicle can speed up to 100 kph.The plan of Baidu is these driverless vehicles could be used for public transport in the cities.As a note, Professeur Andrew Ng who has a significant role in Google’s ”deep learning”, is working for Baidu’s autonomous car project now.Baidu uses a modified BMW 3-Series car for this project.And the car has laser radars, sensors and cameras.All These components work with mapping and ”deep learning” software developed by Baidu.

Baidu announced that the first driverless cars will not be available to private consumers, it planned to use as a public service vehicle.Finally, Baidu continues negotiations with the government for this kind of individual projects.
