Most people these days tend to use Google Maps at least sometimes. It’s a very useful tool that helps millions of people every single day find where they need to be or just get some useful information about a particular area. Now, Google has just upgraded the already helpful software to make it, even more, user-friendly by allowing the integration of your upcoming Google Calendar events to be added to your own Google Map app.
This latest version is currently being rolled out to Android users for the time being where if they open up the sidebar and tap “Your Places” there will be a list if saved locations and addresses as well as the new “Upcoming” tab. This is where the user can view all their upcoming events from Gmail reservations and or Google Calendar. Obviously, to ensure this function works correctly, the user will need to make sure that the location field is filled in with their Google Calendar events.
And, that’s not the only update that’s occurred. In addition to these changes the user now has the opportunity to add custom labels to address to allow easier navigation to them. Once saved, as soon as you start typing the location or say it in a voice command, your tailor-made directions will be with you in seconds. You will also have full access to all of your Google contacts from with the Google Map function itself and customize the map to display what personal content you want it to. Way to go, Google!
