Tesla has been under the limelight recently, but for reasons they would rather not. It is common knowledge now that family man, Joshua Brown was involved in a fatal accident between the Tesla Model S and a truck in May this year. This came as devastating news for both the family of Mr. Brown and Tesla as is the first known death to involve an autonomous vehicle while in autopilot mode.
No details have been disclosed by Jack Landskoner, who has been hired by the family, in regards to the investigation. The only thing has been publicly disclosed so far is that they are investigating into the matter. But, they are a very big name within their field and only last October we saw the firm bring a lawsuit against Cleveland Public Power and how they were scamming over 80,000 of their customers by charging hidden fees. Also, Mr. Landskoner himself is national president of the Public Justice Foundation, so there could well be troubled times ahead for Tesla.
We will have to want and see just wait will happen in regards to the potential lawsuit. Originally, it was thought that the family would not be suing Tesla due to the close relationship Mr. Brown held with them, but this may no longer be the case. Tesla failed to disclose the incident to its shareholders and the regulators which are perhaps a move they are now regretting. But, what is done is done, and they can only hope to retain their reputation now by the way in which this delicate situation is dealt with from here on.
