With the amount of electric vehicles on the market already including sports cars for those who want a little excitement, luxury motors for those who desire a little more class and sophistication, and SUV’s for those who need a little more practicality, we knew it wouldn’t be long before Bentley jumped in for a piece of the action.
I this day and age, if you don’t move with the times, you simply get left behind, and I think this realization has come for Bentley as they look to introduce a fully electric model of the luxurious Mulsanne. This move comes partly due to China’s strict requirements for vehicles as it moves to try and become a zero emissions culture. Put simply. Then they must bend a little their way. But, China is not the only ones that are introducing stricter, more stringent laws regarding emissions. Europe too are heading in this direction, so it is clear that to secure its market share of these countries it will have to do something.
So, now that Bentley seems to have got the luxury model underway with the Mulsanne, they now need to work on the Speed model of the Mulsanne. They are concerned that buyers of this particular model may be disappointed with the quiet engine as previous petrol models had rumbling V8 engines under the bonnet, so it will be a challenge for Bentley to please everyone. But, having already unveiled a hybrid concept car based on the Mulsanne in 2014 it is evident this is a subject they have been thinking about for some time now, and knowing Bentley, something good is already in the pipelines just waiting to come out.
