BMW and Nissan decided to work together. They are planning to build 120 public DC charging locations across 19 states of the United States. Each station will offer a 50 kE DC charging. In these stations, there will be two different charging plugs. CHAdeMOB used by Nissan, Kia and Mitsubishi and CCS Combo used by BMW and most of other US and German car manufacturers.

This is an excellent news for EV market. All electric cars will need stations like these. Of course, you can charge them from your home’s electric grid but depending car’s range all the time it is not possible to go back home. And these stations probably support other brands of cars which are from Japan and Germany.

BMW and Nissan are not only the ones that installing charging station all around The U.S. but also Tesla has many stations already. If all-electric car manufacturers want to sell more cars, they will need more charging stations like these.
