Who can’t resist taking a cheeky selfie on a night out with friends, lunch with colleagues, or on a family vacation? Well, with the help of Australian company, IoT Group, taking a selfie has just gotten one step cooler with the Roam-e.
The Roam-e is the new, innovative selfie stick that allows users to have their own little personal snapping assistant at their fingertips (or near their head, potentially). With this little device being tethered to the user’s smartphone, it propels like a helicopter up in the sky, floating just near you taking photographs as it goes. The built-in facial recognition system works up to 25 meters away and will ensure that only the intended person will be photographed or videoed. It is also able to get 360-degree panoramic views, and is small enough to fit in your pocket!
The downside to the drone is that being so small, it only has a tiny battery, so flying time will only last around 30 minutes, but takes two hours to charge, so maybe a little more works needs to be done there. But, if you are interested in getting your hands of one of these nifty little devices, it will set you back around $400. Although this may seem a little steep, it is much cheaper than a similar device, Lily, which is valued at $899. So, if you are looking for a selfie stick with a difference then check out the Roam-e and be prepared to have some fun.
