One thing that has become increasing popular over the past few years is mobile apps. Introduced in 2008, you can now download an app at the click of a button for almost anything, whether it is a game, social network, a navigation system, or any other form of an app you are looking for. Tech companies have realized how much money has been made from these app sales and have taken it one step further by now using keyboard space to implement their apps.

Another company to join in the fight for space is Giphy. As well as these two reasonably new companies, there are also some multi-billion corporations launching products in the way of keyboard apps. Both Google and Microsoft have ventured into this domain with the release of the Gboard and Word Flow for iOS, respectively.
