After the internet, a lot of people became rich because of it, and they changed our life, for example, Google, Facebook, Wikipedia and much like this, and the internet gives us jobs. After That smartphones came many of them get ultra rich. Internet and smartphones showed that with a good idea you can be crazy rich!!. Many of developers coming with new app ideas every day, and some of them getting lucky and their life changes all the sudden.
A simple game made them rich, for example, Angry Birds, Candy Crush – King who make the Candy Crush game just sold for $5.9 billion, think about the company you are working for example, a construction or another kind, think! How much is your yearly revenue? King’s is $1.9 billion, that is an unbelievable number for a game which is a simple puzzle game. And also there were other apps that got so popular and made their creators very rich, one of them is Instagram which was sold for $1 billion to Facebook and still gaining value with 500 million users.
Another one is SnapChat, which now has millions of users, in 2015 company claims, users were sending 2 billion photos and videos per day, their content was being viewed 500 million times a day, and their estimated value is more than $10 billion. These numbers are very good for a company who came alive just in 2011.
And they make their big hit this year with their new lenses, which is great to use and people gone crazy about those lenses, especially the rainbow one, it is certain that those lenses are the result of hard work of coding.
Ok, we agree that company made a good app that people want to use, and they are already a big company making money right?! No they want more and they are doing it in a cheap way, SnapChat will sell those lenses for 99cents, and if you want the replay an old snap you need to give 99cents for it too, it is like they are trying to not an honest way but looks like it backfired, a lot of people are starting to complain about this in twitter.
We don’t get, a big company like SnapChat trying to collect money from the users like this, if they want to grow more in the future they need to stop thinking small and be respectful to their users, try to find other ways to earn money…
