Well thanks to some reckless drivers of Teslas, Tesla CEO Elon Mask decided limit ” Model S Autopilot. Looks like Elon Mask saw the video of some crazy people doing some thing which might cause accidents.
Musk said that by adding some constraints to the AutoPilot mode, Tesla models can minimize the possibility of accidents, also Tesla’s early reports shows that the new system prevented some crashes already. The number of Teslas which has Autopilot are nearly 40,000. Elon Mask says: the system is still learning and over time it will get better and that is exactly what it is doing. Soon new constrained Autopilots will be available for $3,800 US. And Tesla suggest driver keep their hands on the wheel all the time for extra safety. This technology is improving and expected to be better and better in 15 to 20 years.
