New Australian House Building Robot Lays 1000 Bricks in 1 Hour!

Latest Hot DEALS

As the fourth revolution fast approaches, so do the advanced technologies and robots that come with it. Now, Australia’s Fastbrick Robotics has created a machine that is capable of building a house four times quicker than any human.  One amazing robot the team created, called Hadrian, was unveiled last year and is being pitched as the machine that can build the brickwork of a house in just a few days at a lower cost and higher quality than any manual bricklaying methods employed today. This could revolutionize the real estate industry as we know it.

With the success the team managed to achieve with the first Hadrian, they are now planning to build a new generation robot called the Hadrian X that will be even bigger and have faster capability than the first model. Where the original Hadrian can lay up to 225 bricks per hour, the new Hadrian X can lay up to 1,000 bricks per hour and can handle different brick sizes too.  The features don’t stop there either.  It can cut, grind, mill and route the bricks to ensure they fit before laying them down.  Rather than normal size bricks, they use interlocking precision bricks that are around 15 times bigger adding to the buildings strong structure.

The Hadrian X robot can be mounted on a truck to be moved to the construction site as needed. Once installed, bricks are placed onto a shuttle that transports them to the robot for lying after any necessary cutting, drilling or routing has been done. The bricks that are ready to be laid travel through a conveyor system within the arm of the robot and are placed using a laser tracker and a smart track sensor.  The amazing robot can even be programmed to allow space for doors and windows as well as any wiring or plumbing that may be needed.  Being able to build a house in just a couple of days is incredible, but completely possible through the help of Hadrian X.
